#Nana's POV [Continues]

As I drove on...
I couldn't help but steal little glances at this guy..

I swear it.. He looked super handsome and so young and so sweet looking..

At some points, our eyes meets cos he too was glancing at me. And we'do look away instantly.

But the way he was glancing at me felt kinda awkward cos he seemed as if he was tryna get something about me or maybe as If he knew me from somewhere.

I ignored it and drove on, but then I stole a glance again and our eyes met.

We both looked away.

“I... I wanna tell you sonething.” He suddenly said. He's voice was too calm and soft.

“What?” I asked, trying to sound authoritative..

He got silence.. it was just too long that I had to glance at him.
He was looking calmly at me...
Like a little child.
He has such an innocent sweet face but I know he'do be rough with the hairstyle and tattoos and rings.
He blinked his eyes and did his lips in a childish way.

It made me smile within..
Crazy boy.

“Thanks.. thanks for helping me.” He said.
Then he kept looking at me.. It made think there's sometthing else he wanna say..

“Do you think.. im awkward in any way?” He asked.

I looked confusely at him, but then looked away to the steering cos im driving.

“I think you were weird there, sitting in the middle of the road.. Who does that?” I said.

He kept silent... It made me think and I don't wanna think, so I tried something that could distract.
Asking him about himself.

“What's your name?” I asked him.
He kept silence for awhile before answering,
“Jay” He said.

Nice name.

“Can I know how you lo..”
My phone vibrated, interrupting.
I took it up and it's Ms Sarah. Kiania's teacher.

I picked the call and got it to my ear.

“Hello Ms Sarah.. Im on my way. I'do be there in the next few minutes please.” I said.
“Im concerned. Kiania's worried.” She said in her usual tiny voice..
“Is she there with you, hand her the phone, lemme speak with her.” I said.
“Alright.... Kiki your sister wanna talk with you.” She said and few seconds I heard Kiania's voice.

“Nana... You don't wanna come pick me huh? Where are you? im so worried.” She said in her meek but bold voice.

I smiled and glanced at the guy beside me..
He was staring at me like he really wanna know about this call going on.

“Kiki... Im so sorry.. I closed up late at work today. I'll with you in the next five minutes. I promise.” I said to Kiania.
“I know why you closed late cos you kept thinking about...” Then she paused.

I breathed.

“Kiki..” I said coldly, shutting my eyes.
“Na..”
“Fuck it!!” I heard the guy shout! and the next thing, I saw his hands on the steering and then the next thing! A trailer sped pass, and It we could have sped into it if he didn't do that!
I still had the phone on my ear and I could hear Kiki calling..

“Nana... Nana are you there?”
“I... I will be with you soon.” I said and dropped the call..

My heart beat was so loud and I felt my hands shake but I held strong to tge steering and drove..

“Be careful next time.” He said, looking at me.

“Thanks for that.” I said.
“Who was that on the phone?” He asked.

Just like he wanted.

“My kid sister.” I said.
“You going to pick her up from school?” He asked.
“Yeah..”

I wonder why im just answering this guy's questions.

The rest of the drive was quiet till I got to Learners Academy.
I pulled into the school parking lot.

“I'll be back.” I said.
He nodded and watched as I got down from the car and walked towards the school building..

#Jay's POV

When she left... I felt kinda hot.. (so I guess) So I wind down the glass window and just as I did... A litle boy with his mom who stood just a bit away widened his eyes immediately and pointed anxiously at my direction.
At the car.

“Mom.. look, that car window must be authomatic. It wind down by it's self!” He shouted to his mom who was busy with her phone call.

“Mom..” He called, trying to get her attention but instead she patted his hair and went on with her call.

Do it mean.. This boy wasn't seeing me?
But She saw me..
The girl with this car saw me.

Who am I! What am I!

I turn up the window glass and the boy pointed again, almost pulling his hands off his mother's hold to rush towards but his mom's hold was stronger.

“Kyle.. Stop.” His mom said, as the call finally ended.
“Mom.. Look over there. The car window glass is opening and closing authomatically. Can't you see?.” He jumped up and down, hitting his mom.
His mom looked over..

“What are you saying Kyle? come on let's go.. You got alotta homework to do.” She said and pulled him along..
The boy kept turning to look..

I didn't just know what to do and I didn't know what's happening to me..

Her sister!
What if she doesn't see me as well?
What would happen?
What do I fucking do now!

Opening this door would only cause stares and attention.
Why am I invisible when im a human..
Why's no one seeing me except her?
What really happened to me!?

Or am I suddenly a ghost?
No way!

Then I saw her and a little girl coming..
My heart jumped.

I tried seeing if I could pass through the closed door but no! My hand hit the car.
They was no way out for except opening the door.. And doing this would cause something awkward..

They were almost here and all I could do was sneak into the back of the car, briefly open the door and pull myself out, close back the door and hide away, behind a car.

No one was seeing me so I was only hiding cos of her.
I hide behind a bus.

#Nana's POV

When I got to my car.. The guy was no more inside.

“Nana.. You said you saved someone.” Kiania said.

I looked around in confusion and disbelieve.

“Yeah, but now he's nowhere in sight. Where did he go to?” I asked no one and searched around.. Calling his name lowly as I searched, but no answer.

When I got tired, I walked back into my car.
Kiania was sitting on the seat he was sitting and had her seatbelt over her.

“He's gone? Maybe he'do find his home from here. Don't worry Nana.” She said with a smile.

I smiled and turned on the car engine, reversed and drove off, my eyes still searched for him as I drove off.

Why did he leave without telling me?
Why!

Getting home, I felt really sad.. I don't just know why I was so sad that Jay left without telling me.

After I helped him!! He just left that way!

I opened the door and Kiania and I went in..

I dropped my handbag on the couch and collapsed beside it, rubbing my forehead with my fingers.

I looked over at Kiania and she's sitting on a rock-chair, pulling off her shoes and stockings.

“Do you wish to see him again?” She asked.

I know who she's talking about but I gotta ask.

“Who?” I asked.
“The cute guy you saved. You said he's super cute.” She said.
“Yeah.. He should have at least said thank you to me for saving him.” I said.

Actually the truth was that, I needed him to just stay without saying goodbye.

Seriously? am I even going crazy?

“Is he more cute than Uncle Jardel?” Kiania asked.

I know Kiki loves Jardel alot and she'do been wondering why I've not talked of him this few days.
I tell Kiki almost everything even though she's just too young..
But she's my closest companion. My only family left... and my sister.
I love her so very much..

“Jardel is handsome..” I said quietly.
She looked at me, pausing what she was doing...

Then she continued.
“You said is too coldly like you don't wanna say it.” She said.

I know Kiania!

“Kiki im not.. You must be really hungry. Lemme go make flakes for you.” I said and stood up..
My black skirt felt so tight.
I cant wait to take it off.
I walked to the front door and locked the door, then made to go towards the kitchen entrance..

“You and Uncle Jardel are fighting?” Kiki asked.

I sighed.

“No.. Kiki. Your questions are so much..I'll be back to bathe you.” I said and went into the kitchen.
