BUNCH OF DISGRUNTLED PEOPLE
In search of being gainfully employed, a group of Nigerian youths found themselves at Consolltd for customer care representative job for Airtel Nigeria.
Before the commencement of the training Consolltd, through the HR informed the trainees that upon completion of OJT, #30,000 will be paid as training stipend. The training will last for a period of 30 days which means a thousand naira per day.
After the training and certification, they (Consolltd)came up with a ridiculous policy that the trainees will provide for themselves working tool 'HEADSET' .The headset is a very important tool for a CSR.The MD, Mr Abiodun in his defence said that the policy is irreversible not even for a "bunch of disgruntled people" who probably wasn't born as at when he started business.
The trainees disagreed, as this was not mentioned initially upon commencement of training. If the management succedes in this perhaps there will be another policy that would make the employees buy a computer system to make bigger profit for them.
@Airtelng, kindly look into this, a lot of these trainees borrowed money to come to work with the intention of offsetting their debt as soon as they are paid the training fee. We kindly employ you to look into this situation so that this does not set as a precedent to other companies who perhaps might be handling calls on your behalf.
This experience may give the trainees a wrong notion on Airtel and would definitely spread across to other customers and to-be customers in no time, thereby affecting the credibility of the company.
